During the last few months, we've sat down and decided on a path we'll be taking through the year. Unforunately, it's going to take time, so we're not going anywhere soon. These updates will setup the core of our projects, and that's why we're spending the time making sure they're right first time. Cumbrian Wars is looking to be launched around the summer of this year (2009, that is!). At the moment, we're testing the vital parts of it and enjoying testing the game! We'll be releasing screenshots and short demos shortly...
Project Origin is well into development. We're focussing on the networking part of it to bring it up to date with the world's web 2.0 obsessions. Origin will be a module (or "plugin") or MyBB, a free open source forum system. We've decided to choose this as we feel it is the best option and the most cusomizable system available. To backup this work, we'll be releasing "Xekko Resources", a resource website for MyBB and Origin. The game itself contains a forum system, bug tracker and wiki, as well as having fancy networking features.
So, 2009 will be an exciting time for us releasing so many things! Of course, we can't give you a deadline, because it will be ready when it's ready! Keep your eyes peeled here... |
